A Friday of Purpose at AEON Subang
Every Friday afternoon throughout Ramadhan, our routine looked a little different. Instead of afternoon meetings, our team gathered at AEON Subang Jaya. Our mission was simple but significant: to source and pack essential groceries for families in need.
From rice and cooking oil to the small comforts of the season, every item was handpicked. There is a unique kind of teamwork that happens when you are packing bags side-by-side with your colleagues, knowing that these packages will soon be on a family’s dinner table for Iftar.
Building Bonds at Kampung Lindungan
Once the van was loaded, we made our way to the Dewan Komuniti in Kampung Lindungan. This became the heart of our CSR initiative.
Providing for low-income families is about more than just food security; it’s about letting our neighbors know they are seen and supported. Meeting the residents at the community hall was the highlight of our week. The smiles, the brief exchanges of “Selamat Berpuasa,” and the warmth of the Kampung Lindungan community reminded us that we are all part of one big family.
More Than Just a Project
CSR at our company isn’t just a box to tick. It’s an opportunity for us to remember the importance of compassion. Seeing the direct impact of these grocery distributions has left a lasting impression on our team.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community leaders at Kampung Lindungan for welcoming us, and to our dedicated staff who turned every Friday into a day of service.
