Streamlining Real-Time Monitoring at Lumut Power Plant:
A Reliance SCADA Integration

In the fast-paced environment of a major energy facility like the Lumut Power Plant, data is everything. Facility operators need immediate, accurate insights into their systems to ensure everything runs safely, efficiently, and within regulatory standards.

Recently, our team was on-site at Lumut Power Plant to deploy a crucial data integration project. The goal? To bridge the gap between their physical analyzer hardware and their central monitoring systems, giving the client a seamless, real-time view of their critical parameters.

Here is a look behind the scenes at how we brought this project to life.

The Core Task: Mapping the Analyzer Stacks

The primary objective of this project was integrating the plant’s analyzer stacks into Reliance SCADA. The facility utilizes 9 separate analyzer stacks, each monitoring 3 distinct parameters critical to the plant’s operations.

To bring this into a centralized dashboard, our team:

  • Configured the System: We set up the Reliance SCADA environment to receive the live feeds.

  • Mapped the Data: We individually mapped all 27 data points (9 stacks) into the system.

  • Ensured Accuracy: We rigorously tested the communication between the stacks and the SCADA interface to ensure zero latency or data loss.

  • Achieved DOE Compliance: We ensured the real-time data integration met the strict regulatory standards required by the Department of Environment (DOE) for the Lumut Power Plant.

The Result: Complete Real-Time Visibility

By successfully mapping all 27 data points into Reliance SCADA, the client now has a comprehensive, unified dashboard. Instead of checking isolated systems or dealing with delayed reports, plant operators can properly monitor everything in real time.

This immediate visibility allows the team at Lumut Power Plant to make faster, better-informed decisions, ultimately contributing to a safer and more optimized operation.
